screen brightness

Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Have you tried not using the "Auto" setting in the Brightness adjustment?   Deselect it, then set the brightness to a comfortable level.

Re: Slate 21 Pro screen back light on when sleeping

Thanks for helping with this issue, mtroyw.

I'll send you another case number, same issue (backlight turns on randomly while it should be sleeping).

I provided the URL of this forum topic in the case, but that was before you said the fix hadn't rolled out yet. I also specifically mentioned your reference to the scalar version (mine is LIMH3.31).

I submitted it last week. They immediately sent me another unit, which I guess is good.

That unit was defective, though (touch screen unresponsive), and it had the same scalar version. I reported that problem right away (September 5) in a subcase and have heard nothing since. I obviously need to send back the defective one they just sent out, but no return shipping label was provided, even though they said in an email it would be in an envelope attached to the box.

slate7 plus screen

Hi,

Please use the following manual to get part # and search for online store:

    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03960087.pdf

Since this is only few months old, and its price finding part for it can be very hard.

Regards.
