Re: Sound quality on android since 4.3 ( slatebook x2 16gb )
Thanks for the support, although no solution was offered.
I returned the Slatebook X10 to the merchant for a refund. The return period was 30 days and, it didn't make sense for me to spend time trying to revert to an older version of Android (which I dont believe can be done). And, I didn't want to get into a warranty issue with a brand new device since, there's no evidence on the forums that this issue can be solved.
Sad to return the device but, I got something else and, it sounds good/works well.
I'll continue to shop for HP PCs as, I really like the products but, this Slatebook just didn't cut it. Too bad, there's a lot to like about it!

VOICETAB6 Stuck on HP Logo
Hello There!
I have recently bought an HP Voicetab6 but today, as I charged the phone, I am stuck on the white HP logo boot screen. I have attempted many steps such as rebooting in recovery mode and doing a factory reset.
I have also attempted to apply the image of the phone from the HP site and did an ADB side load but was unable to complete due to an error message:
"assert failed: !less_than_int(1387713643. getprop("ro.build.data.date.utc")).
Please guys.. this was given to me by wife as a gift last week.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time in reading this.
Re: Slate 6 , Setting songs as ringtone and alarms tone
You can set songs as ringtone in HP Slate voice tab by following the below steps:
Go to HP File Manager
Select and copy the song that you want to set as ringtone
Go to My Storage in HP File Manager
Then go to Ringtones folder
Paste the song that you've copied
Close HP File Manager
Now go to Settings > Sound > Phone ringtone
You'll see the song in the ringtone list so that you can select it as ringtone.
